"I got punk'd by cupid" and other (V-day) thoughts...
1. I got punk'd by cupid
I emailed this line to my friend June when she left a comment on my site...it's good to know that ppl I know in the real world reads my complaints and run-on sentences. :) Well, really I should have followed my instincts and not rushed into another relationship. Oh well, another lesson learned; I came out of the drama unhurt and empowered. I went over to the bum's house Friday night to get my stuff (movies, etc) and brought my boy Scoe with me just in case my ex tried anything. If anything, he was being a punk, he was too scared to approach his own car, cuz me and my ppl were standing by it. I wanted to laugh but I had to stay focused cuz I had to go all the way over his house cuz he too scared to come over mines (sidenote: he's never visited my place either). It's funny to me, my ex poses as a thug but he's such a punk. So the whole punk'd thing was just to be silly, and in reality he got too comfortable way to early, and wasn't that much of a gentleman, and I was being way too nice when it came to helping him ($ wise), and he took advantage of that. My girl Dal poked fun at me on how I used to react to breakups with all the uncertainty and leaving matters in the guy's hands. I talked to her on Saturday and she asked me "are ya'll still together?" I replied with "hell, I don't care...fcuk him!" She said she was proud of me and that I'm growing up, lol.
2. Love is for suckers
I saw the "Love is for suckers" tee that Tigger was wearing on the V-Day edition of 106 & park. Does anyone know where I can buy one? My mom thought someone would take offense to the shirt. I guess that they're being to serious anyways, get some humor in ya life. On the other hand, they're most likely that sucker the shirt's referring to.
3. The second gig gets the heave-ho...I'm so sick of it!
Yep, I put in my two week notice this week. It would have been on Friday, but my boss was out sick. The setup is stupid and borderline illegal I think. For starters, it's a small business; don't get me wrong I have no issues with small business, I root for the entrepreneur. But...I'm paid like an independent contractor (aka pay my own taxes at the end of the year), but treated like an employee. I prefer to get my taxes taken out off top, too much to worry about around tax time. I'm gonna have a fun time filing this year (sure...)! She guides me through tasks that I could figure out on my own, and she sits thisclose to my face. Really, can I get my 3 feet? Get off my lap! She's extremely picky about how the outgoing items are packed. Really, who cares about fingerprints on the tape or if the packing ship is crooked. I'm sure they're more concerned with the contents inside instead of the exterior. Then again, she's picky in general. About 80% of that is unecessary. And get this, she's trying to get two FT people in a one room office, and probably won't provide any benefits, or take any taxes off top?! That's going to be intersting if she can pull that off! I doubt she will. If she's going to do that, she might as well offer a student a co-op/internship position on a temp basis. Anyway, 2/24 is my last day, and I'm glad. Maybe I'll go and see Madea's Family Reunion or do something to celebrate. Now I can spend my afternoons chillin and looking for a career.

This Video Should Be Put On I-Tunes, ASAP!
...it would make a killing! In this clip we have Fantasia and Jamie Foxx singing at Clive Davis' Grammy party. Classic footage, just watch it and enjoy.

The Quickest Grammy Recap Ever!
Unfortunately it was a 3.5 hour lullaby. People performed (lots of mash-ups), and other people won. But the Kanye and Jamie Foxx performace woke me up. They were dressed like band leaders, were backed by a dancin g band, and there were steppers. Gotta love the Broke Phi Broke though, lol. Look here for more recaps.
Knowing that all the recaps were gonna be on the web somewhere, I shoulda got off my lazy butt and went to see Maya Angelou speak.

So Unfair!
Going through one of many job search sites (I'll be nice to exclude which site) to find myself a decent salaried job, I come across this:
We regret that we cannot consider applicants without a Bachelor's degree and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Goodness, I guess those with a strong work ethic with enduring circumstances while in college with a 2.55 cumulative can't apply. That's why I can't stand g.p.a. requirements! Although companies get talent from the high end of the g.p.a. pool there are some in the middle range that can work just as hard. How superficial! Oh well, there's someone out there interested in my credentials past my g.p.a. - somewhere! I'm gonna continue my search and stop complaining now...
